The Kingdom Animalia book trilogy entails three titles including Watership Down by Richard Adams, Tailchaser’s Song by Tad Williams, and Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robert C. O’Brien.

The theme for the project was a mixture of true and arresting while still having variety between the three books. The cover design needed to reflect the reading experience of the books. And it has to be visually stunning and arresting to the viewer. The true and arresting comes from Peter Mendelsund, saying that these are the most important parts of book cover designs.
